Fluid Mechanics, Inc. can repair fuel leaks that occur at the ends of the pipe by replacing "O" rings and worn components.
High Pressure Fuel Lines
Fire in a ship's engine room or in a diesel electric generating plant can be caused by fuel oil spraying from a loose or broken high pressure fuel line between the fuel injection pump and the fuel injector. Fuel oil spraying on hot surfaces such as a turbocharger or exhaust pipes cause a majority of these fires. Today, most high pressure pipes are double sheathed to protect against engine room fires should the pipe rupture.
These fuel pipes come in all shapes and sizes. If your engine currently has single wall high pressure fuel lines, give us a call and we may be able to supply you with double wall (sheathed) fuel pipes for added safety. Most fuel leaks and pipe breakage are due to engine vibration.
