Power Barge in Central America
Power Plants
Fluid Mechanics, Inc. has been actively supporting power plants in the United States for over thirty (30) years. Many of these power plants are in the Midwest and were constructed to provide both primary and standby power in case the national grid broke down. In recent years, many of these plants have been used for peak shaving to reduce the cost of electricity to small cities. Engines powering these power plants were diesel and dual fuelled (diesel & natural gas).
Parts and service for Nordberg, Cooper, Superior, Wartsila, Pielstck MaK and other makes of engines are available from Fluid Mechanics.
Central American countries and the Caribbean Islands use diesel engines to power the generators that provide power for their national grids. These power plants are strategically located throughout their countries and islands.
