CORPORATE OVERVIEW 

In 1957 Fluid Mechanics, Inc. opened its doors on Brookpark Road in Cleveland, Ohio. Products represented were fuel injection parts & service and hydraulic starters. The name, Fluid Mechanics represented the state of the fuel injection systems at the time. Fluid represented the diesal part of fuel injection systems and Mechanics denoted that the fuel pumps and injectors were mechanically driven and actuated. These systems are still in use today and we continue to provide parts and service for them.

Fluid Mechanics continued to grow eventually servicing and calibrating fuel pumps & injectors on high speed diesel fuel systems found on trucks, off road equipment, marine and construction equipment. In the late 1970's we outgrew our facilities on Brookpark Road and moved to our present location at 4521 west 160th Street. Coinciding with the move, we were approached by companies operating large, medium speed diesel engines powering ore carriers to service the fuel systems. We accepted the challenge and became the representatives of major fuel system manufacturers for these engines. We can provide parts & unequalled service for diesal fuel injection systems found on engines manufactured by Duap, L'Orange, Woodward Diesel Systems (formerly Lucas CAV/Bryce). Due to inquiries from medium speed diesel engine customers, we tooled up to recondition engine cylinder heads using MWH parts. In 1995, we opened our facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
